What is the name of a program that would allow easy disk partition with a GUI?

You can use Powerquest's PartionMagic, has all the bells and whistles.

There IS a free one within mandrake 8.1! I just can't find it.

Do you know how to install the wine program? Or a dos emulator? I want to run some old dos games in linux.

mandrake uses diskdrake, but why can't you just use a console appliction?? what do you think you are going to achieve with a program just because it looks pretty?

To get the job done properly without mishap. I could do that with the command line interface, but I want to see what's going on to be sure.

How do I instal diskdrake?

You didn't specify what you wanted, you only needed to have a GUI. Use fdisk you can be sure of what it's doing, after all you have tell it what you wan't and it does it with no surprises.

In Redhat you can use diskdruid during the redhat install but not after. Would be good if there was an proper (not install) version of this.

Otherwise what you might want to use is cfdisk. Not quite GUI but much nicer (and more reliable, apparently) than using fdisk or something similar.

I dont think cfdisk is installed by default but is probably on one of the install cdroms.

Off topic

I wonder, would any of you be willing to criticise a small but important piece of writing I have done? It is only a few minutes of reading and it's an important issue surrounding the sexist views that many people have concerning their differing acceptance to male circumcision but rejection of female circumcision (yes, I do Completely acknowledge the major differences). If you would like to then please send me a blank email with “circ” in the subject title to removed@request.of.user
