Direct Connect is pretty good and it seems like the best client around is Valknut's.
And for Bittorent Azureus is my fav client.

Apollon is quite good, it uses gift you can add plugins like gnutella, fasttrack openft and other less popular ones.

connect to the multiple networks for a huge answer to your search.
