gui & disk spanning for compression utilities

Can anyone tell me if there is a file compression utility that includes a gui and a floppy disk spanning feature similar to winzip? Is the disk spanning feature available on utilities such as gnozip or file-roller?

I think I may have found my own answer here: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/f...er/019154.html

but some of the descriptions are not clear if the programs support multi-floppy files.

In case anyone else (especially newbies) are interested, I found karchiver to be the most functional gui application.
