GuardDog not able to open the protocol database xml file
 

Hey everyone:

I ran into a problem with trying to run GuardDog 2.2.0

The problem is that when I compile and install GuardDog everything runs fine, but when I try to run the binary I get a message saying that the Protocol Database XML is not found and in my terminal it out puts: "QFile::open: No file name specified". I am still kind of new to compiling and all that stuff, so I dont know the specific parameters I could use to fix the problem.

GuardDog is installed in the usual places, nothing weird there.

How would I go about getting GuardDog trying to locate the xml file? Or better yet find out why GuardDog cannot find it in the first place?

I dont know if you have fix this problem or not but if you did can you tell me how can i fix it too.

I downloaded the rpm it works fine but i really need to know how to download the tar version
