gtk themes

I have a Slackware 10 box on which I use fluxbox 0.9.9 and Rox as file manager. I knew that Rox uses GTK so I downloaded some applications themes from gtk.org. I untar one or them into .themes folder and then started gimp but... nothing. It uses the same default theme.
Could you help me make GTK thems work on fluxbox!

Ok, after a little search I managed to make it work with exec /usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon but I have a graphical login (gdm) and I don’t know how to launch an application when fluxbox starts. Could you help me with this?

create ~/.xprofile and put in it all you want to start when you log in GUI

you really don't need the gnome-settings-daemon at all. use a small application with gtk-theme-switcher which will configure a theme without running the gnomes bloatware.
