GTK Lightest weight application for SVG graphics?

Hello, I would like to find a light weight application like pbrush that could add text and jpg, so that you have an AI extension file or pdf, or other, and that one can modify it always.

Gimp is too much heavy and not directly towards svg like inkscape.
Inkscape is too heavy...

Would you know which application could be into our greastest debian repositories?

thank you
