GTK+-2.2.1 Install problems
Hi
Everytime i run "./configure" in my gtk folder (/usr/local/gtk+-2.2.1) it gets as far as the following then stops:
checking for jpeg_destroy_decompress in -ljpeg... no
configure: WARNING: *** JPEG loader will not be built (JPEG library not found) ***
configure: error:
*** Checks for JPEG loader failed. You can build without it by passing
*** --without-libjpeg to configure but some programs using GTK+ may
*** not work properly
I have installed the JPEG package to it's default folder and have run "ldconfig" afterwards but GTK still wont work. If i run "./configure -without-libjpeg" then GTK configures with no problems.
What can i do to fix this cause it is annoying me intensely!
Before anyone tells me to use an RPM, i've tried that and it just says it conflicts with "initscripts-6.91" or something.
Thanks in advance
Tim.
