Question gssFTP file question

Do I have to mess with gssftp at all? Disable or enable? I have the linux bible and I thought it stated to get FTP running I have to find the FTP file and enable the service? Right now the gssftp file is disabled but I can still FTP now. I am making notes for myself and do not want to add a step that does not apply. Thanks

Are you attempting FTP as a client or server? You should not need to enable anything to use a client, except possibly firewall rules to let you out.
