There is probably also a lot of information already on your computer. Try typing
info:grub in the location bar of your konqueror browser. You can also read the
info page online.
Update:
You can download the
newest grub rpm from SUSE and install it (try clicking it. That should work
).
Creating and installing your own splash screen:

the creation and installation of a grub boot splash.
