I have a computer (asus - pc - windows 7) my dad installed linux onto it. Now i want to give the computer to my mom (cause i have a new one). Before doing so, i wanted to reboot the computer to factory settings. But since that was not so easy with linux on it, I tried removing it by putting in the backup DVD's from windows 7 into the computer. It succesfully did what it was supposed to do. But now i try to start the computer, and i get this message on a black screen:
I looked around for the meaning of this error, and apparently i somehow deleted my booting system, so now my computer can't reboot.
My question now,... is this correct? and more importantly, how can i fix it! i looked around but can't find anything relevant.
This PC is still really good and I hope that you guys can help me with this, cause I sincerely don't know what I have to do!
You need your windows installation or recovery CD. Select the Repair option as explained at the link below. You should have done this before deleting whichever Linux you had on the system but it should work.
What version of windows 7 home premium, professional?
I may be able to send recovery console to you, if someone tells me how to do it.
I have home premium & professional, for recovery purposes.
Only 64-bit.
