grub L 99 error
i have grub installed onto a floppy, when i boot up i just get left with the error
'L 99'
on the screen and nothing else happens.
i have a few options in the menu.lst
also the disk was pre-formatted to fat32, i used madrake bootloader fixer thing to make the disk, it just seemed to copy the needed files to the floppy (didnt format it).
i saw another post about lilo and having error L 99, which was said that stage2 could not be loaded, if that is the case i dont know why as stage2 is on the floppy.
all files are under /boot/grub on the floppy.
thanks for any help

You have lilo installed, not grub. Probably because the Mandrake default bootloader is lilo.

Ok, why do you have grub on a floppy, what happened to your system to make you get a bootdisk?

linux all flavours doesnt detect my 80gb harddrive, so it also doesnt write to the mbr.
so i decided to put the boot loader onto a floppy and boot up that way.
