grub: is there a silent mode?

Hi..

I have a box with Redhat 9, with grub as the boot loader.

Is there a way to turn off the text that prints on the screen? It's the text that is printed before rc.sysinit is started.

Thanks for any pointers.

As root, edit /boot/grub/grub.conf and add "quiet" as a kernel argument (aka parameter aka switch), reboot and see if that works for you.
