Question Grub - fdisk /MBR

I need to be able to set back the boot loader for WinXP
First I partitioned my harddrive in my laptop so I could Linux and Windows. Later, I tried to delete the partition for Linux but I didn't realize that the computer would not work. Now, when I try to start the computer, GRUB pops up and ask me for commands, I managed to load Windows after this, but when I restart the computer goes bak to GRUB and not Windows.

I read that Fdisk /MBR could restore the loader, but when I try to use it in the MSDOS window, DOS does not recognize it or run it in windows.

I don't know how to load a boot disk since the machine does not give me a chance before loading GRUB.

I want to be able to load WinXP boot loader.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Hi -

Basically, you need to:

1. Boot from your Windows XP CD

2. Follow the first couple of prompts, then type "R" to go into the XP "Recovery Console"

3. From the XP recovery console, run "fixmbr"

'Hope that helps .. PSM
