Hi ,

I have 2 querries here

1) I am planning to install Fedora 10 and i want to do it in another hard disk . So once i install Fedora 10 is there any tool for editing Grub other than the boot disk . i would also like to mount few other partiotions to mount , as i am also looking to install Ubuntu also .

2) For Ubuntu i have given 30 MB of disk space , will that be sufficient ?

You can change grub by editing /boot/grub/menu.lst. Any text editor will do. I used mped or kwrite. If you are booting from a live CD use whatever text editor the liveCD provides. The most common editors on a liveCD are vi or vim.

That is way too small. I recommend that you use 4 GB.

Oooops ... that was a typo .. i ment 30GB ... sorry for confusion ... so i think i can go ahead with Ubuntu as well ... Which is the link so that i can install the latest verion of Ubuntu ......

One more query that i have is ...

Say .. i have 2 hard disk ..

on one disk i have one windows partition ( c: )

and another partions for linux /boot , /home , / , swap and /usr/local

and i have fedora 10 installed on another hardisk,

so if i re write the Grub as ..

say:
/dev/sda1 ( c: ) --> Win XP
/dev/sda2 ( Ubuntu /boot ) - Ubuntu

/dev/sdb1 ( fedora /boot ) - Fedora 10

Will this work .. so that i can boot in all the 3 OS ?

I am assuming that you are talking conceptually. Yes that will work. The syntax of the actual commands in /boot/grub/menu.lst is a lot more complex than your outline.
