Grub boot loader not starting

Originally I had Windows XP only on my computer then wanted to install Fedora as well. I downloaded the Fedora Core 4 cd's and installed grub with it. The installation finished so I restarted my computer but grub did not load, it just booted into Windows XP.

How can I get grub to work and let me boot into Fedora?

Maybe you have installed grub in a partition instead of the mbr.
Try reinstalling FC and select to install grub on the mbr (Master Boot Record).
or
If during the installation there is the option to make startup floppy disks, then make them and boot from them.

It is installed in the master boot record, i selected that in the instasllation and there is also no place which says to create startup disks
