GRUB Beep Options
Hi,
I know how to set GRUB up to beep when the boot menu has come up, but I'm wanting something a little more specific. I need to have it set not only to beep when the boot menu comes up but also to beep when I specific entry has been selected.
The problem is that my visually impaired users don't know which entry in the menu is the accessible one, and even then it's easy to miscount the number of keypresses to get to it. And every time I change the boot menu arrangement I have to re-explain it.
So what I want is for GRUB to beep when the menu comes up (as it currently does), but then to also beep when the user gets to a specific entry. So at the first beep they can start pressing the down arrow key and keep pressing it until they hear the second beep, then they know that they are on the correct entry. Even better would be to have different beeps for different entries (so a higher-pitched beep for the recovery options, or something like that), but I can probably do without that.
Is this possible and if so how do I do this?
Thanks,
