grub
hello everyone. i just updated my kernel using the automatic red hat 9 update program.
grub now displays two different linux bootup options along with my windows bootup option. is this desirable? or should i delete the older kernel from by grub.conf file? |
If the new kernel works fine, then it is safe to remove
the old kenel. In the meantime it is nice to have a 'backup' kernel around that is known to work - therefore a new kernel install never removes the current one. I suspose you can remove the old kernel by now. |
