grub

hello everyone. i just updated my kernel using the automatic red hat 9 update program.

grub now displays two different linux bootup options along with my windows bootup option. is this desirable? or should i delete the older kernel from by grub.conf file?

If the new kernel works fine, then it is safe to remove
the old kenel. In the meantime it is nice to have a
'backup' kernel around that is known to work - therefore
a new kernel install never removes the current one.

I suspose you can remove the old kernel by now.
