Grip Questrion N2
Hi there!
I am new to a ripping process so I have some questions about it? I hope you won't be angry on me for asking such question once again? (in search I have found alot of them :)) So..... I have installed Grip ( I like it ), but what basic configurations should I make to rip songs from CD's to mp3's? Thnx |
Try checking out the 'Help' tab in grip, then click on the 'ripping help' might give you some clues....
Hope it helps... Garry :D |
GT that's why I am asking! I know about help :)
????? How to rip Cd's........... |
And BTW, if I "call" for help, grip begins to load GNOME
|
My guess is you go to 'Rip only' well of course if that didn't work, try it with encoding....the only way to find out is to do it :p
Garry :D |
Yeh, i tried calling for help aswell, it must be based around gnome....cause i don't have gnome instaleld and it had an error, are you using KDE? Try using something else insetad of a gnome based app.

GT maybe you can suggest another way of ripping CD's, maybe with some other program ?
|
http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/t...p?form_cat=118
Try find something there....there are lots...i couldn't really recoomend something, but i'm sure you will find something.... Garry :D |
The best one i read was this http://sourceforge.net/projects/arson/ it is also the most active...but it seems that you need KDE installed....

I am using Fluxbox 4ever :)
And my gnome is loading without problems :) |
Well then you would be looking for a gnome app. i will try find something for you...oh and i don't use gnome...it's good but to have the KDE libraries installed...so you can run KDE apps.
Garry :D |
Ofcourse I have KDE installed :)
thnx GT=Garry :D |
hahaha no worries, so you have found a program? or are you using the one i recomended it?
Well if you have any problems, just post em up here, i will be happy in trying to asnwer them... Garry :D |
NO NO I have not found any programs yet.........I like Grip very much :)
|
Well this is a guess, i haven't used grip, but open it, go to the 'config' tab, then select the encoder (ogg, mp3) then go to 'Rip+Encode' select the tracks...and rip ahead!
Try that hehehe Garry :D |
