Graphical IRC client through ssh tunnel?

Due to the corporate firewall I currently ssh into a box at home and launch bitchx from there. This works fine however I would like to use port forwarding through an ssh tunel to run a graphical IRC client at work. It is easy to create a tunnel for webmin for example: ssh -L 2500:localhost:10000 user@i.p.address then I simply point my browser to localhost:2500 and voila! there is webmin but it's running on my server at home. How to get this same functionality for IRC? Thanks for any ideas.
