Graphic accelaration on ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series
 
hi,
can any one help me how to get graphix accelaration on ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series .
I have read the previous thereads but all were on other ATI radeon series but none on the above one .Incase if i have leaft out any thread which can help me in the above problem plzzz let me know ..

I am using FC4 X86_64 with kernel 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 and i want to install on this system ..

i already have radeon module loaded and let me know if thats of any help for me to solve the above problem ...

The radeon module is an X module. The driver provided by ati is a kernel module.

Well, I got mine working on suse 10 by getting the ati-driver-installer-8.19.10-x86_64.run script from ati's website and with that script, I generated a .rpm package specifically for suse 10.

Then install the rpm package. Run depmod -a as root. Then run modprobe fglrx. Finally add that modprobe command to a startup script so it is loaded next time you reboot.
