I'm looking to convert GPT to MBR w/o data loss. I have 4 partitions totaling 60 gigs plus the EFI partition from mac.

I think it is extremely unlikely that you'll be able to do that without losing data. My advice would be to backup that data (60 G is nothing these days), repartition the disk with gparted and restore the data. No matter what you do, you should backup anyway.

I figured as much, and thanks...

Back it up and try anyway. The structure should/might allow it to work - take note of partition start-end and see if you can reassign them the same after deleting the partition that's protecting the disk.
I'd be interested to know as well .... ;)

You'll need to fix the bootloader of course if it's on that disk.
