Question Gparted and new install

If I set up my partitions with Gparted-live first, can I then do a new install into these partitions, and will the installer honor the partitions I set or will it ignore them? I'm installing Debian 9.9 on a new Dell 3670, and hoping that I can persuade the installer to skip the partitioning step.
Cheers, -terry

Yes - select "Expert" or whatever - I've never installed Debian, but never had an issue with pre-allocated partitions, which I always use.

I think yes, and even the installer can be used to make that partitioning.

Lightbulb SOLVED, can be closed out (when I figger out how)

Thanks for help, Debian 9.9-live-gnome-amd64 installed quickly and easily and seems to be perfect.
By far the hardest was persuading the UEFI Bios in the Dell 3670 to allow me to boot a dvd. That's too long to detail here, and there are lots of helps elsewhere. All is Happiness and Light!
