gore + winex3
 

hi everyone,

i already browsed the transgaming (sorry excuse for) forums,
and found no solution to this problem, so i am posting it here,
hopefully with more luck.

i have winex 3 installed, and have had no problems with such
games as max payne and warcraft 3. i just installed gore, and
the latest patch, and when i run winex3 gore.exe from a
command console, i get the following error messages:

and

Hello. This is the "engine" module reporting that the read buffer
has overflowed and can't be extended. I will execute all pending
actions now and reset the buffer, which should get you out of
this hole, but the parser will not backtrack through this point any
longer, which may send you down an unusual parse path with
consequent errors. Please check that you really needed this much
look ahead! The buffer is currently set at 8192 tokens and it has
read 8191 tokens. To prevent reoccurrence, insert more cut marks
(!) in the definition script or increase the READBUFFERSIZE macro
definition or use a command line option, if available. I'm sorry, I'm
just a simple engine and I don't know what they have up there!

hm. perhaps i should have set the topic to be
less specific; more people would then probably
take a look and perhaps even make a useful
suggestion... *shrugs* 'winex trouble' or summat.
