Gnucash scheduled transaction

I'm familiar with using the scheduled transaction facility for a predefined amount, but what I want to do is something different. What I need is a transaction where, once a month, the outstanding balance on a credit card is paid off from a cheque account. Is this possible, or do I just have to continue doing it manually?
