gnu screen, double size chars

Hi i have a quick question about gnu Screen.
got it up and running, except i run into a little problem

trying to use escape codes in a bash shell under screen.
color, bold ect all works fine

But i would like to use: \033#6 (or \033#3 and \033#3)
All will give double height or width chars.

in a plain bash shell, they work under gnu screen, they don't
i use term=xterm in both cases.

how can i make it work in screen ?!

Thx...

Hi, binary4, and welcome to LQ.

You might be best posting a request for help with your issue on the GNU Screen mailing list:

https://www.gnu.org/software/screen/

If so, please let us know how you get on with resolving the issue.
