Question GNU mpc looks at the wrong place for GMP even if I tell it where to look with --with-gmp=.....

I am trying to build GNU mpc, but every time the cursed makefile seems to look only at /usr/local/lib64 for the GMP libraries. but that libraries arent't there because I compiled them myself and placed them somewhere else, because I don't have root access.

I tell the configure script that I have them at a custom place using the --with-gmp=.... option. but that doesn't seem to work. I guess that it is something specific for MPC that it is bad, because I didn't have any problems when I had to do the same for MPFR.

You can see the output of the config script here: https://bin.snopyta.org/?4b90836abfd...ErtMwf9aX8FikC

You can see the output of 'make' here:
https://bin.snopyta.org/?8584570c29ea3735#8PTLdPQKwyGERDvjgXc5ATS8rkaKHNTAf71nqf3Z93Pu

I have searched online to find anything that could help me but I haven't found anything.
I found a kinda similar post on here though, but because I don't want to necropost I open a new topic. The topic that I found was this one: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ibtool-882823/
But I didn't see any usefull stuff there.

Why are you building from source a package present in openSUSE?

Because I don't have root access I cannot install packages.
That means that I have to build everything myself.

The only thing I can suggest is this:
Quote:
Variable LT_SYS_LIBRARY_PATH
Libtool has heuristics for the system search path for runtime-loaded libraries. If the guessed default does not match the setup of the host system, this variable can be used to modify that path list, as follows (LT_SYS_LIBRARY_PATH is a colon-delimited list like PATH):
  • path: The heuristically determined paths will be appened after the trailing colon;
  • :path The heuristically determined paths will be prepended before the leading colon;
  • path::path The heuristically determined paths will be inserted between the double colons;
  • path With no dangling colons, the heuristically determined paths will be ignored entirely.
