GNU GIFT installation
Hi, fairly new to Linux, using Debian 5.0(stable) with KDE 3.5.10. Need to install GNU GIFT(GNU Image Finding Tool) for a theme from kde-look.org.
I need to edit "image Index' in 'control center' under 'system administration'. Clicking that gives me a pop-up that GIFT is not installed, and a link to it's page on gnu.org.
After some trouble installing the .tar.gz (never got to 'make install' step), I realized I could install GIFT with apt-get o.O eheh.
I installed it with apt-get, no errors and no other package suggestions available, but going to 'image index' still says I need to install GIFT. I rebooted and same thing.
What do I need to do, and is there any other information that would be useful?
