GNU c++

Just downloaded and installed GNU c++ 3.3. Apparently it has a frontend in the package.
How do I start the frontend?
Here I sit with my book, Learn c++, hoping to find a user friendly interface, where the words of c are highlighted or red or whatever, and I can't get started.
Thanks.

The compiler itself doesn't have a frontend. Nice graphical frontends you can use: KDevelop, Anjuta. Most text editors can highlight syntax (but they don't have an option to compile).
