Angry gnome-volume-control crashes, sound partly broken [solved]

I have read that a lot of people are having problems with their sound using gnome. until recently I never had any issues, until I was forced to reinstall gentoo.
now, sound basicly works, I can use gxine, beepmediaplayer, alsaplayer, and the alsamixer, but as soon as i try to run applications that were 'bundeld' with the gnome-ebuild, I run into problems.
For instance, everytime gnome loads, "gnome-volume-control" crashes, displaying following message:
Code:
No volume control elements and/or devices found.
running it from a console reveals:
Code:
** (gnome-volume-control:12646): CRITICAL **: how to remove plugins?

(gnome-volume-control:12646): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: Factory for `adder' has no type. This probably means the plugin wasn't found because the registry is broken. The plugin GStreamer was looking for is named 'adder' and is expected in file '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.8/libgstadder.so'. The registry for this plugin is located at '/var/lib/cache/gstreamer-0.8/registry.xml'

** (gnome-volume-control:12646): CRITICAL **: how to remove plugins?

(gnome-volume-control:12646): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: Factory for `alsamixer' has no type. This probably means the plugin wasn't found because the registry is broken. The plugin GStreamer was looking for is named 'alsa' and is expected in file '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.8/libgstalsa.so'. The registry for this plugin is located at '/var/lib/cache/gstreamer-0.8/registry.xml'

** (gnome-volume-control:12646): CRITICAL **: how to remove plugins?

(gnome-volume-control:12646): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: Factory for `ossmixer' has no type. This probably means the plugin wasn't found because the registry is broken. The plugin GStreamer was looking for is named 'ossaudio' and is expected in file '/usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.8/libgstossaudio.so'. The registry for this plugin is located at '/var/lib/cache/gstreamer-0.8/registry.xml'
the sound recorder also fails to run, same goes for cdjuicer and everything else, that was compiled together with gnome, except the games. Gnometris works perfectly and with sound.
any ideas?

i was using gcc-hardened profile, had to switch to vanilla and recompile gstreamer+plugins, did the trick.
Gstreamer FiX
