Gnome Theme-manager crashes on startup

When I try to launch the Gnome theme manager, i get this message:

"Application "gnome-theme-manager" (process 6693) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)"

I went to the Gnome crash page, and it said that this issue's status was "resolved" because it's GTK+ problem or something, not a Gnome problem. Unfortunately this doesn't help me out any....

This does not happen as root.

I sure would appreciate any help possible...

Unhappy Gnome-Theme-Manager Error

I use redhat 9, I also face Gnome-Theme-Manager problem, can't startup and all desktop icons become simple-one. I try to modify gconf setting, of course it should be very very careful. Some icons are find back ... (interface).
