gnome shell weather extension no longer loads, says 'loading current weather'

And no information.
Website is here.
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/750/openweather/

It is installed and used to work. But for last week or so, it does no longer function.

And I noticed, it can not find any locations anymore.

did you do this:
Quote:
You have to register on the respective site (either http://openweathermap.org/appid or https://developer.forecast.io/register) and get a personal API-key.

Must be a new thing since it used to work without it.
Ok, I just registered and I put the appid key into the settings.
Maybe it will take a while to function as it is still saying 'loading current weather' and still wont find locations in setup cities.

Ok, you have to restart gnome as in reboot or
run command gnome-shell --replace

And now it works!
