Gnome RSS Newsfeed Applet?
 

I've been searching high and low for a RSS Newsfeed applet, I'd like one that scrolls like the Stock Ticker applet, this would rock and save alot of time TIA :)

This is not an answer to your question, but

1) For GNOME, there is Straw, which is not a ticker, but a normal windowing program.

2) If you wanted to write a ticker, you could probably reuse a lot of code from existing apps, like Straw.

3) Firefox 1.0PR supports live bookmarks, which may be more or less preferable than a ticker, depending on your habits.

There is also an extension that you can download for FireFox called Sage that is an RSS and ATOM feed aggregator. As far as I know it does not have scrolling but I could be wrong.
