gnome-power-manager icon missing from panel
hi all,
I am using fedora8. I suddenly noticed that the gnome-power-manager icon (battery icon) has gone missing from my panel. How can I get it back ? I donot see it in the add to panel list so it must have got uninstalled somehow, isn't it so ?! thanks nishith |
Try this:
Open System->Preferences->Screen Saver. At the bottom of the window, Select Power Management, then the General tab. In the Notification Area, check the Always display an icon box. Close the windows. You should now see your icon again. Hope this helps. |
I found out the problem, I had uninstalled gstreamer older version, since gnome power manager was a dependency, it removed it too.
that was too bad... Reinstalling right now,and should be ok thanks nishith |
