GNOME-PIM command
 

i just installed (or so i think) the PIM from gnome. the installation went ok as far as i know. theis may sound stupid, but what is the command that will execute the gnome-pim app?

don't worry, its happened to me ;) First i'd try gnome-pim gnomepim gpim pim etc, just until that gets boring. Then i'd think looking at the documentation would be a good idea... After that depends on how it was installed. Is there some sort of list of installed packages with redhat? Slackware has /var/log/packages, so doing a "less /var/log/packages/gnome-pim-whatever" will give you a nice list of where files went, find your bin type directory, and that will be the command. There's probably a GUI way too, but i wouldn't know.

EDIT: just saw your other post. Was gnome-pim a no go?

gnome-pim was a nogo. i tried all those commands. i ran a whereis gnome-pim but returned nothing. running locate on gnome-pin returned a whole list of files, but nothing in the /usr/local/bin directory. and as for a log of installed packages, i have no idea where it is, i tried to hun around but figured it was a time wasted because there are just too many directories.

i'm gonna try one more time as my hunt for another PIM isn;t doing too well :)

[edit] the more interesting part (to me) is that gnomecal and gnomecard are both getting installed. there are a few errors, but i'm guessing that is caused by running the two apps individually ratherthen with gnimepim.
any other ideas on what to do?
