Gnome Pilot Setup Won't Go Away - Solved

On a lark, I tried to synch my wife's Palm Pilot Tungsten E2 on Ubuntu Jaunty Jackelope. I could not get it to synch, but that is not a problem as she synchs with Vista on her laptop. The issue is that I now have two instances of gnome pilot setup wizard that appear whenever I boot up.

Googling, I found another user with the exact same problem. That user was able to correct the problem by deleting a gnome pilot hidden file in the home directory. I don't remember what the file name was and I cannot find the web page again. In my home directory, I found and deleted an empty folder named .gpilotd, and a 4-byte text file, but that did not fix the problem.

Can anyone suggest how to make these two wizard instances go away?

SOLUTION: Per a suggestion in another group, I used "top" in a terminal window to find the PID for the gnome-pilot process. Once I killed the process & rebooted, the problem went away.

Well, look in System > Preferences > Startup applications and see if you find anything relevant. If you mean GNOME panel applets, right click it and select remove from panel.
