Gnome panel flash notification for gaim

Hi,
downloaded Steinz Fedora Core 4, and it had Gaim 1.3.0-1 version.
The version of the Gnome Panel I have is 2.10.0. Similarly libwnck-2.10.0 is on my computer. The minimized windows here *do* flash if, say the download is complete or something (I'm just giving you an example).
However, the Gaim window in the gnome panel does *NOT* flash even though I've checked the "set URGENT hint" in the appropriate plug-in.
Can you tell me if I need to follow your instructions from:
http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...me+flash&hl=en
I don't want to mess around with my Linux system cause it works fine except for flashing windows. Please tell me whether or not I have to follow your instructions (my linux knowledge is very shaky).
Thanks,

In summary:

Problem: Minimized gaim windows do not flash in the gnome panel, even though the "Set URGENT hint" option is turned on.
