Gnome Menu Editor HELP!

I can't seem to install a gnome menu editor. I tried to install smeg with yum you but I get an error:
Quote:
Resolving Dependencies
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
---> Package smeg.noarch 0:0.7.5-3.el4.kb set to be updated
--> Running transaction check
--> Processing Dependency: gnome-menus for package: smeg
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: gnome-menus is needed by package smeg
What are gnome menus? They are not in my repos.

Then I tried to install alacarte from source since I couldn't find it in yum. It put a shortcut on the menu but it will not run.

I found
Quote:
"download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/gnome-menus-2.10.1-3.i386.rpm"
but it is for fedora core 4. Would it be ok to install this fc4 rpm on Centos-4?

Thanks for your help but it doesn't work either. I don't know what my problem is but Alacarte or Smeg won't work. There on the applications menu and they act like there going to start. Then nothing happens.

It probably won't suit your needs, but it's worth noting that starting in version 2.12, Gnome does have a rudimentary Menu Editor included. Just right click on the little Foot.

I've tried it with very mixed results, but I would assume that by 2.14, it'll be working better.

I have 2.8.0.

I guess I will sacrifice some speed and go back to KDE.

Thanks for your help.
