Question gnome: launch application associated to a document type from command line

Hi

Is there a way to launch a document from the command line (launch the application associated with the document type) in gnome?

In KDE, you just do a "kfmclient exec <file>" and the right application is openend.

All you need to do is replace 'kfmclient exec' with gnome-open!
