gnome keyboard shortcuts: volume mute other channel
Hi,
I'm using ubuntu 7.04 (works great BTW) on inspiron 6000. The keyboard shortcuts allow my to use the multimedia keys on the front of the laptop but, it's not changing the right audio channel. it's muting the master volume. I'd like to mute/change the headphone volume. I looked in the "configuration editor" but, didn't see anything relevant. any ideas on how to change the audio channel? |
I'm not certain about the inspiron but on my keyboard you can change them with >system>preferences>keyboard shortcuts, it lets you add all the multimedia keys
|
Yes, you can change them but, how to change WHICH audio channel is the question.
When I click the mute multimedia key it mutes the Master Audio channel. I need it to change the headphone audio channel. |
I found it.
System -> Preferences -> Sounds > click the devices that you want to control |
