Gnome keeps disabling dpms
I've installed gnome 2.2 from source and it works but when I also install control center it turns off DPMS and in its place puts on a random screensaver that I have no control over. The only way I've been able to get dpms to turn itself back on again is running 'make uninstall' in the control center directory.
Now I get:
Keyboard Control:
auto repeat: on key click percent: 0 LED mask: 00000000
auto repeat delay: 660 repeat rate: 25
auto repeating keys: 00ffffffdffffbbf

DPMS (Energy Star):

But before, when control center was installed, it'd say 'DPMS disabled' and I saw no where where I could disable screensaver and re-enable dpms.
Has anyone had this problem? What can I do to get control center and dpms working.
