Gnome GPG/PGP program?

Before my old laptop died, I had either a program, or an applet that I could encrypt/decrypt the clipboard contents with GPG/PGP, among a few other things. Would anyone know what this program is and what it is called? For the life of me after non stop searching, I can not find it. I'm most likely searching for something completely different, and it's bugging me. Not a super pressing issue, but it's just irritating that I still can't find it.

Thanks if anyone knows what I am talking about! Cheers,

Josh

There are two popular programs for this: GPA and Seahorse. Some more here.

I already have seahorse. I'm talking about a different program, having the capability to encrypt and decrypt the clipboard contents on the fly.

GPA does clipboard encryption and decryption.

I was running into too many problems before trying to compile GPA.... I'm going to try again and bla bla bla..... If it turns out to be too much, I will just close this and press on without it.

Well an update.... I can't successfully compile GPA again, due to mismatches of libassuan. Anyone know of any patches to use libassuan1?

Corp, what Distro are you using, and what repositories do you have enabled? Also,.. what version of your Distro did you have when it worked and what do you have now?

Well I never used GPA before... Currently, I am running Fedora 15 64 bit.

Do you have libassuan-devel installed?

corp769 12-06-2011 11:28 PM

Of course I do ;)

I have both libassuan and libassuan1 installed, including the dev files. After searching DEEPLY on google, I have come across a thread or two about the same issue. It looks like the dev haven't made his way yet to use version 2.
