GNOME doesn't create desktop icons for USB drives
I have set up gnome-volume-manager, and when I plug a USB drive in, it gets mounted (generally at /media/USB DISK), and a nautilus window pops up, showing it. However, no desktop icon is created, and so I cannot find how to umount it, short of running the 'umount /dev/ipod' command, but I would prefer a GUI way.
Can someone help me find out why the icon is not being created and/or how to umount it without an icon?
Thanks.
