Gnome clock-applet error
I just upgraded from gnome 2.12 to gnome 2.14 and, for whatever reason, my clock-applet stopped working and began sending the the error
"The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFID: GNOME_ClockApplet"." I recompiled the gnome applet package as both v 2.14 and 2.12, but the error still comes up and won't let me display the clock. I have found reference to the problem in various bug-report pages, but none have had any responses. Thanks in advance. |
My laptop running Slack 10.2 and Freerock Gnome 2.12.1 would get this error also.
I never resolved the issue. I guess my only recomendation to you would be to try re-installing libbonobo I'm sure you and I have peeked at all the other posts about this error floating around the net... so, I know how you feel. I'd be VERY curious to see if you get this fixed. By the way, what are your systems specs? Scott |
I'm helping a friend get it set up so I'm on a standard Dell Dimension 1100 with 2.8 Ghz P4, 512 RAM, integrated video and sound. I'm running gentoo 2006.0 with Linux 2.6.15.
