Note how the URL in the post above looks like a well-known Linux website, except it has the .net extension, not .com.
IMO, OP is nothing but a spammer, esp. since their other thread does the same.

Nice selection of applications if you use Gnome or a gtk environment.

GNOME Circle champions the great software that is available for the GNOME platform. Not only do we showcase the best apps and libraries for GNOME, but we also support independent developers who are using GNOME technologies.
craigevil, I think the issue was LQ gets new users. They seem to want to bypass how LQ monitors them against spammers. They post some cut and paste from another website. Why they actually do it would be nice to prove.

I think they
don't do it manually, obviously, so whatever script they use:
comes back to edit their posts, days, weeks, even months later, to put in more-or-less hidden evil links
sometimes doesn't even care about the post content, but puts those evil links in their profile or signature
BTW, the LQ software still identifies as vBulletin. I believe it is much hacked now, but maybe those script simply attack it as if it was vBulletin, then the crucial spam link insertion fails because of the differences.
BTW, it doesn't even have to be links these days, suitable search/index terms are enough, you know like bitcoin SEO android etc.

You misunderstand, there was a different link at the end of this post. Looked like some well-known "Open Source Blog", but with the wrong TLD. Typical spm/ad/malware trick.
