Gnome Caught In Infinite Loop When Starting up

When I am trying to boot Gnome, it shows the splash screen, loads the icons and things as normal and icons go accross the screen, then it loads the panel, nautilus, panel, nautilus, panel, nautilus, and keeps doing that infinitely or until it locks up. There is usually between two or three rows of icons before it locks up. This happened unexpectedly, I've been using KDE for a while, and now this...

...Should I just stick to KDE? What do I do?

Have you tried removeing the Gnome configuration for your profile.

some systems, in my experience have have had some strange configuration issues because th Gnome tryies to load the Desktop contents of KDE as WELL as Gnome. This means the that there may be some conflikting thing , e.g KDE kickstart application that may be causing Gnome to reboot nautilus.....

Then again there just might be a problem with nautilus configuration, try looking at the Gnome configs in KDE using the 'Configuration Editor' tool (Thats for Gnome)

This Did happen to me by the way after i moved to Gnome from KDE cause i felt like a change :D

but that happened. so icheck the configs of the Nautilus and the Panel in the config editor.

try and see what happens. :study:

Well I deleted everything with the word gnome and nautilus and it didn't fix anything. Both Gnome and KDE are set to different desktop folders.
