Gnome battery applet, using by normal user, problem

Hi guys,

I have a problem with Gnome battery applet, it works if used by root but if used by normal user don't...everytime I recieve this warning...

Can't access ACPI events in /var/run/acpid.socket!

and the applet remains on 0% of charge even if the battery is on 100% of charge.

I tried to check the permision of the file and there are not problems there...Normal users can read the file.

acpid is installed and works...

Please help me!!!

Excuse me,

Should check twice before post and broke balls...

acpid daemon was not running...normal user have not permissions to start it, root instead does...
So that's why battery applet was running used by root...everytime acpid was started automaticaly by the superuser...

I aded acpid in rc.conf and now works fine....

Sorry sorry....
Cheers...
