Gnome application load up
Hi guys,
Maybe sometime ago somebody was trying to digg out this topic. What I mean, I want gnome application to load instantly. Generally, what I mean, when you load gnome and you want to load xterm or firefox, your harddrive starts spinning around and it takes couple seconds until you desired application loads up. However, if you load the same windows/application 5-10 times, the next load the application appears imidietelly without any spinning, just one second at it appears silently.
So, I want to configure my gnome in such a way, that all application or libraries will be preloaded at start/boot time, so when I hit for example one of the windows to open it will appear imidietelly, without spinning, giggling etc. I mean something similar to prelink, which I already use, but does not solve the issue.
Is there any way? I am sure there is... Mac OSX developers do the same So all commonly used applications like mail etc. runs perfect and fast, while you launch application rarely used or from other developers it takes a while until they load up.
Thanks
Kris
