Gnome 2.8 Oddity

Hello this may be a simple question but I have just switched my desktop environment to Gnome 2.8 from KDE 3.3. I have got used to have the location bar in my window manager yet it seems in gnome I don't have that feature and I am unabel to fine a location to where I can turn it on. Is it possible? and if so how? Thanks again.

Ctrl + L opens a small location bar into which you can type addresses. (The L does not have to be upper case.) This address bar has some sort of auto complete feature built into it.

Another hugely useful keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + h to toggle "show hidden files and folders" on and off.

Open nautilus (Home window on your Desktop) and go to Edit>Preferences.
Choose Behaviour tab and select the 'Always open in Browser Windows' checkbox. You are done!

Happy browsing!
