gnome 2.14 build problems with garnome

Hello friends,

I have the source code for the complete 2.14 GNOME in gzip format. Now I downloaded the latest GARNOME from the website and start installation through make paranoid-install.
But my problem is that I have all the sources in gzip format and the garnome make utility wants source to be in bzip2 format. Now I went through the garnome mailing lists and they suggest me to write a script that changes all the garnome makefile so they get gzip to understand and also the checksums should be re-build.

After repeated messages to those guys asking for the script at mailing list as well as the irc help channel I am not provided with any solution.

I want a script for my work, and I don't know how to write the script . If anybody here can provide me with some help then it will be really appreciated.

Regards
