Has anyone yet updated to the new release (released today)? Iv seen and read up on their site about the release and some of the things look nice. It also mentions performance tweaks in the GUI sector.
I like GNOME but I dont use it, I use KDE.. but KDE is sometimes slow. Just wondering how it is going for anyone who has it already.
I don't want to start a desktop wars thread, but I find KDE to have too many features that it overwhelms me. I have every intention of downloading and installing Fedora Core 5 when it is scheduled to be released on Monday which should include the latest version Gnome. I can post back then.
i wasnt aware fc5 was being released monday. id like to try it but i have that its so many cds long--which so many distros these days are (and i dont have or want a dvd drive/burner).
